Koz has spent more than three decades building a career that has made him one of contemporary jazz’s most recognisable names. A multiple Grammy Award nominee and platinum-selling artist, he has earned 12 No. 1 albums on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the 2023 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.

For Koz, South Africa holds a special place in his touring history, and he’s clearly excited to reconnect with local audiences. “The best audiences in the world can be found in these two cities,” Koz says, promising fans a musical experience to remember.

Joining him is Chris Walker, a musician with his own deep connection to South Africa. Walker spent more than two decades as Al Jarreau’s musical director, bassist and co-vocalist, while also working with jazz heavyweights including Ornette Coleman, Art Blakey, Bob James and Cassandra Wilson. His solo career has also produced Top 5 R&B singles.
