For readers who are discovering Wade Yarrow for the first time through Music Culture Forever, how would you introduce yourself as an artist, and what parts of your personality or story do you feel come through in your music?

I’m a South African artist who creates music inspired by real-life experiences. My songs are about growth, hope, and believing that better days always come. I want my music to inspire people and remind them that they’re never alone in what they’re going through.

Being part of Music Culture Forever meant sharing the spotlight with a diverse group of South African artists. What was that experience like for you, and what did you discover about yourself creatively through the process?

It was an amazing experience. Working with different artists helped me discover new ways of creating music, and it showed me that I can explore different sounds while still staying true to myself. It challenged me creatively and encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone.

Your contribution to the album represents a piece of your artistic identity. Can you take us behind your track – what inspired your performance, and what emotions or message did you want listeners to connect with?

My journey has been my biggest inspiration. I draw from my upbringing, the challenges I’ve faced, and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. Through my performance, I wanted to remind people to keep believing in themselves, no matter how difficult life gets. There’s always hope if you keep moving forward.

Music often reflects personal experiences. Were there any moments in your own journey that influenced how you approached your contribution to Music Culture Forever?

Absolutely. My journey has taught me patience, resilience, and the value of hard work. Nothing has come easy, and those experiences naturally influenced the way I approached my contribution to the album. Every challenge has helped shape both my music and who I am as a person.

As an artist, finding your own voice is an important part of the journey. What has helped shape Wade Yarrow’s sound, and what do you hope makes your music stand out in South Africa’s growing music landscape?

Listening to different genres and always being open to learning has played a big role in shaping my sound. I hope my music stands out because it’s honest, emotional, and motivational. I want people to connect with it on a personal level and find something meaningful in every song.

Working alongside different artists, producers, and songwriters can open new creative doors. Was there a particular lesson, conversation, or moment from the Music Culture Forever experience that you will carry with you into future projects?

The biggest lesson I learned is that great music comes from collaboration and being open to new ideas. Everyone brought their own perspective to the project, and that reminded me that some of the best creative moments happen when you’re willing to listen, learn, and create together.

Beyond the album, who is Wade Yarrow outside of music? What are some things about you that fans might be surprised to learn?

Outside of music, I’m a calm, family-oriented person who enjoys spending time with the people closest to me. I also love hiking because it gives me the chance to clear my mind, reconnect with nature, and find inspiration.

As you continue building your career, what dreams and goals are you working towards, and what can fans look forward to from Wade Yarrow after Music Culture Forever?

My goal is to continue growing as an artist, reach audiences around the world, and one day perform in Ibiza. More than anything, I want to create music that leaves a lasting impact. Fans can look forward to more music, exciting collaborations, and new projects as I continue to evolve and share my journey.
