Seven days down, and momentum is building. South Africans taking part in the Red Bull Zero Excuses Challenge have officially crossed the first milestone, and now the real habit-building begins.

Designed around the science-backed idea that consistency creates change, Red Bull Zero Excuses challenges participants to stick to one chosen activity for 21 days and turn movement into a lasting routine. Whether it’s running, gym training, cycling, yoga, dance, or functional fitness, the goal is simple: keep showing up at least four days a week and commit to the process.

Running from 9 January to 6 February 2026, the free online challenge is built to help participants push past the point where motivation typically dips. With the first week complete, Red Bull Zero Excuses shifts focus to the next phase — staying consistent, staying accountable, and reaching the 21-day finish line.

Through the Strava app, participants can track their progress, log workouts, unlock digital badges, and stay motivated through content from Red Bull athletes and creators. Community encouragement, surprise moments, and shared momentum are designed to help challengers keep moving when it matters most.

Participation in the Red Bull Zero Excuses challenge is completely free, with no purchase required.

Inspired by Red Bull Xero, which delivers the same wiiings as Red Bull Energy Drink with zero sugar, zero calories, and its own unique taste, the challenge reflects Red Bull’s commitment to supporting active lifestyles and everyday performance. In South Africa, where fitness culture continues to grow across gyms, outdoor spaces, and community-driven movement, Red Bull Zero Excuses aims to empower individuals to stay consistent and prioritise their wellbeing.
