Comic Con Cape Town with Capitec is proud to announce that acclaimed Irish actress Evanna Lynch will be attending Comic Con Cape Town 2026 from Thursday, 30 April to Saturday, 2 May at CTICC 2.
Evanna Lynch is globally recognised for her role as Luna Lovegood in the internationally celebrated Harry Potter franchise. Introduced in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Luna quickly became a fan-favourite for her whimsical charm, quiet bravery, and unwavering individuality.
Fans will fondly remember some of Luna’s most iconic moments on screen – from her unforgettable Quidditch commentary in The Half-Blood Prince wearing the roaring Gryffindor lion head, to her steadfast loyalty during Dumbledore’s Army meetings, and her courageous stand in the Battle of Hogwarts. Her heartfelt line, “You’re just as sane as I am,” remains one of the most quoted and beloved moments in the series.
Beyond the wizarding world, Evanna Lynch is also an author, podcaster and activist, known for championing creativity, compassion and self-expression. Her continued engagement with fans around the world has solidified her status as one of the most cherished stars of the Harry Potter generation.
