Dahoodhope recently released a new EP titled INT.BVBY 2 and I must say that I am particularly impressed with the release. It offers up a different side to what we have come to expect from the emerging talent. He opens up the EP with the song “Imina Nalo”, which carries a dope groove. The song sees him touch on how he is a serious contributor to the game and how our faves should be on the lookout for him. 

The EP changes gears on the song “Kholwa”. The sound is more jovial and I must say, it brings out the best in Dahoodhope. I feel that playful production suits his cadence more so than dark production. The song “Public Figure” also has the same energy as “Kholwa” and the presence of K.Keed only elevates the song. 

A personal favourite on the EP has to be “Bad Gals”. On the track, Dahoodhope enters more of a singing bag and I feel as though it was perfectly executed. His ability to craft a hook that has a theme that carries through to the rest of the song is what makes it special from a subject matter point of view. 

He rounds off the EP with “So Far So Good”. The song is a mesh of genres as the production plays around from an instrumentation point of view. Again, I feel that Dahoodhope is at his best when he enters a singing bag. It allows him the freedom to explore different emotions in comparison to when he raps. Overall, this is a wonderful offering from Dahoodhope and it shows clear signs of growth. Listen to the EP below.
