This January, Africa House brought its first-ever Summer Club experience to the Mother City, hosting a three-day pop-up members club that celebrated global African culture, sound, and community. In partnership with Spotify and Creme of Nature, the Afrocentric experience unfolded across three venues over three days, drawing an international audience of DJ’s, creatives, cultural leaders, and entrepreneurs from across Africa and the diaspora. Demand was so high that queues wrapped around venues throughout the weekend.

Alongside music and nightlife, guests explored a curated pop-up market featuring brands from across Africa and the diaspora, spotlighting fashion, beauty, fragrance, and lifestyle offerings that reflected Africa House’s global yet intimate ethos.

Program Highlights

Day 1 – Opening Poolside Kick-Off
Africa House opened its Cape Town chapter with a sun-drenched rooftop poolside celebration set at the Trade Boutique Hotel, featuring an international DJ lineup, summer cocktails, and panoramic city views.

Day 2 – Leading Women, From Wellness to the Dance Floor

Day two unfolded as a full-spectrum celebration of female creativity and leadership. The day began with A Morning With Leading Women, an intimate, wellness-led gathering at Africa House featuring guided poolside yoga, connection-focused networking, and curated shopping. Guests enjoyed refreshments by Matcha Move and gift bags courtesy of Creme of Nature and Spotify, while exploring The Sitota Collection fragrances and candles, Africa House merchandise, and Dart Activewear. That evening, the energy shifted to Women at Full Volume at the city’s best-kept secret, LA Trip Bar & Social, a seductive, members-only nightlife experience celebrating female sonic leadership. The all-women DJ lineup, including Tenoceans, Zoe Janice, WEAREALLCHEMICALS, and TNKSBK, delivered a refined yet electric soundtrack to the night.

Day 3 – Talks, Tannins & The All-Black Finale

Day three marked the return of Talks & Tannins, a candid conversation exploring Africa’s influence on the global sonic and cultural landscape. The panel discussion was moderated by Kevin Boyake (Co-Founder, Africa Creative Agency) and featured speakers included Brendan Asante (Jerk x Jollof), Melissa Penny (Afronation, Piano People, Afrotonic), Tunde Balogun (LVRN), and Nandi Dlepu (Mamakashaka). The discussion was followed by an exclusive wine tasting curated by Tumi Akinola, Founder of IsiVini Wines, spotlighting some of South Africa’s most prominent Black and African winemakers.

The weekend concluded with an invitation-only all-black closing party at Athletic Club & Social. Soundtracked by international DJs Shamiso, 2SHOES, Emilio Esteves, Solo, and DJ Voodoo, the finale brought the Africa House community together for one last night rooted in global African culture.

Known for creating culturally resonant, members-led experiences across global cities, Africa House continued its mission of connecting Africa and its diaspora through music, art, and meaningful exchange — this time under the Cape Town sun.

As Africa House looks ahead, audiences are encouraged to keep an eye out for future activations and pop-ups across cities around the world, as the platform continues to expand its global footprint.
