South African hip-hop artist Usimamane has released his new EP, “Baby Tai”, a focused and confident project capturing ambition, hunger, and forward momentum. Released under Gamma Africa, it arrives with the hard-hitting lead single “Racks”, an unapologetic money anthem for go-getters.
“Racks is all about money, drive, and mindset,” says Usimamane. “That’s why I’m dropping it early in the year—it’s motivation for everyone trying to get paid.”
Inspired by a meeting with Rick Ross last January, “Racks” channels discipline, focus, and relentless pursuit of success. “All we spoke about was getting to the money by all means necessary,” he adds. The EP holds personal meaning, dropped on Monday, on Usimamane’s birthday to mark growth, clarity, and a new chapter.
“Baby Tai” is a six-track project blending rap, trap, and melodic R&B, delivering raw emotion, confidence, and introspection. It reflects Usimamane’s evolution from Umlazi realities to national recognition, while staying authentic.
