Mzansi witnessed a dance showdown as the Red Bull Mzansi Crew Battle National Final lit up Constitution Hill on Sunday, 7 December. With electrifying performances, celebrity guests, and a crowd roaring with energy, the day ended with Crazy Destroyers being crowned the 2025 Red Bull Mzansi Crew Battle Champions.

The Pretoria-born duo, Sleek Nation (24) and Tsebetsa Boy (22), from Soshanguve, Mabopane, clinched the title after an intense, crowd-favourite battle against the formidable True Skhanda Movers. Despite being the smallest crew in the competition, they delivered sharp execution, powerful storytelling, and unforgettable chemistry that kept the audience on their feet.

“Winning this means a lot to us,” said the Crazy Destroyers. “We were fighting many crews, outnumbered, but we came back strong and stood tall. We are very excited; it’s our first experience, and winning a competition like this is unbelievable!”

To elevate the experience, the stage was ignited by performances from some of South Africa’s biggest youth-culture powerhouses. Pabi Cooper brought unmatched vocals and Amapiano heat, Phantom Steeze delivered explosive dance-rap synergy, and DJ Tshegu turned the venue into a full-blown street party.  On the decks were the Dube Twiinz, setting the rhythm for every battle round, while the ever-charismatic Elly Majola amped the audience as MC.  A heavyweight judging panel, Bontle Modiselle, Limpopo Boy, and Tom London, judged the crews based on creativity, execution, style, and crowd connection.

The national finals brought together a powerful mix of regional winners, online standouts, and wild-card challengers. Finalists included:

Crazy Destroyers (Pretoria Winners) – 2025 Champions True Skhanda Movers (Online Entry) – Finalists Game Changers (Johannesburg Winners) Legend Dancers (Durban Winners) Untouchable Entertainment (2024 Champions – Johannesburg) Team Dona (Pretoria Runner-Up) Is’Cathulo Sabolova (Online Entry – Johannesburg) Future Kings (Wild Card – Gqeberha)

Each crew pushed the limits through choreographed rounds, freestyle moments, and creative fusions that celebrated the diversity of South African street dance, from Amapiano to Pantsula to Sbujwa. The Red Bull Mzansi Crew Battle continues to cement South Africa as a global dance powerhouse, blending movement, music, style, and storytelling into a cultural experience uniquely Mzansi.
