Tkay Staxx Gives SA Hip Hop A Fresh Spin With New Album Release “T.K.M.” The SA Hip Hop scene just got louder. Tkay Staxx has officially dropped T.K.M., an 11-track project under Revenge Club Records that’s turning heads and redefining South African hip-hop.

Taking to Instagram, the renowned producer and rapper shared his excitement as he announced the release of his latest body of work. “We live!!!! T.K.M Out Now On Every Digital Platform, Tap In, Run It Up,” Staxx announced.
The project comes curated by A-Reece, whose signature introspective style adds a sharp edge to Staxx’s own raw energy. Executive produced, mixed, and mastered by Staxx himself under his Tkay 10Staxx alias, T.K.M transforms the grind of urban life into a cinematic hip-hop journey. Its cover art—stacked tyres and rims in a graffiti-splashed warehouse with Staxx’s silhouette staring ahead—captures the Dirty West aesthetic: resilience, hustle, and style rolled into one.
From the gospel-infused trap opener “Lord Is My Witness” (feat. N’Veigh) to the euphoric, middle-finger anthem “OMG” (feat. Mostdope Art & Testeezy), the project moves seamlessly between heartfelt confessions and high-energy club bangers. Tracks like “Ke Di Bona” (feat. Billy Bane & Jay Jody) and “FOA” (feat. Gee Skhollz, Jay Jody & Ginger Trill) showcase bilingual bars and posse energy, while “Hunna” (feat. Blaklez) balances youthful ambition with veteran wisdom.
Staxx also flexes creativity with slower, more introspective cuts. “Xandangena” (feat. Av RainCandy) seduces with moody trap vibes, “Cappuccino In The West” (feat. Luna Florentino) captures late-night city grind with an R&B feel, and “2 Years$” reflects on time and growth. The project closes with “On To The Next One” (feat. Gee Skhollz & Mostdope Art), leaving space for three bonus tracks that keep the momentum rolling.
The project’s metaphorical use of wheels and rims represents traction and shine earned through struggle—an idea sharpened under A-Reece’s guidance. In a year where South African hip-hop continues to make waves, T.K.M can live up to being one of the projects to create conversation in SA Hip Hop in 2025.
