For those who may not be aware of the talent that is Vuyina, I highly suggest that you tap in because wow, she is destined for greatness. The rising star recently released a new single pack titled “God Willing” that features two singles. 

The song “God Willing” is a beautiful fusion of sounds that culminate in something truly unique in its presentation. Vuyina’s vocals sound spiritual in the sense that I feel like I am transcending to a different realm when I listen to her. In its own way, it brings together what makes all South African vocalists special, which is the soul and emotion that they bring to their music. 

The second track on the single pack is titled “Zisuka”, and again, the single is another musical fusion. The single carries more of a pop sound in comparsion to the opening song of the EP, however, it carries the same musical qualities. “Zisuka” features Flow Jones Jr. in a completely different setting to what we have heard from him before, which is a welcomed change. 

Overall, this single pack perfectly illustrates why I feel Vuyina is a gem in the local music landscape and I believe it is only a matter of time before the rest of the nation catches up. Listen to “God Willing” below.
