In association with the Gauteng Film Commission (GFC) as well as the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), the BAI Heatseekers Festivals is known for its dynamic celebration of music, film, digital content, and entertainment, BAI is shaking things up by joining forces with some of the most exciting pop culture entities to deliver a groundbreaking series of events.
The cultural wave kicks off with an exclusive collaboration with the Secret Film Society—a movement dedicated to curating intimate, surprise screenings of both local and international films. This cinematic experience is designed for true film enthusiasts, creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere where storytelling takes center stage.
An Opulent Opening Night at Artistry
The festival’s grand opening unfolds at the prestigious culinary and cultural hub, Artistry JHB, where guests will be treated to an exquisite BAI Cocktail Soirée. Expect an evening of networking and thrilling sneak peeks of two must-watch film projects from previous BAI Alumni, setting the tone for an unforgettable festival.
Celebrating Film & Digital Storytelling
Following the grand opening, BAI Heatseekers presents its highly anticipated Film Festival—a platform dedicated to elevating young and African Filmmakers. This showcase offers movie lovers and industry professionals the opportunity to witness groundbreaking work being made by young trailblazers, engage in thought-provoking discussions as well as a new addition of local film trivia, and network with like-minded creatives.Limited tickets for this exclusive showcase are now available for purchase—don’t miss out!
To top it all off, the festival will also host the 2nd Annual For the Streets Awards Reception, a tribute to artistic trailblazers making waves in the creative space.

BAI partners with Mango Farm for an activation that celebrates and elevates music. In this ultimate fusion of music and culture, independent artists will take center stage to showcase their artistry, ensuring that the BAI Heatseekers Festival closes on a high-energy, unforgettable note.
