Zimbabwean-South African artist TheLastletter is set to release her latest project, ‘Stay’, marking her debut singing in the Zimbwean language of Shona. The EP comes with another surprising  twist—featuring three different versions of the same song, a rap version with rising Zim hip – hop star Paintafresco ( @paintafresco)  and two melodic versions featuring ZImbabwean singers Maye.Musoni (@maye.musoni)  and Rudoson  produced by Zimbabwean producer CalvinMadeIt, “Stay” is a deeply emotional afro – pop record that explores the feeling of love growing distant and cold with one person longing the other to stay and be who they once were  when the love was new.

Artist Statement : When I heard the beat I knew I had to sing in Shona and when I opened my mouth “throwback to the day Tichingofara ” meaning “throwback to the days when we were happy” were the first words to come out, because of a romantic situation I had been going through at the time. I just wanted to express my heartbreak and how much I missed how we used to be but I couldn’t just say it in a message,  I had to say it in song”
