South Africa’s first NBA Weekend lifestyle event will be held at Hamilton’s Rugby Club in Cape Town on Saturday, 14 December and Sunday, 15 December.
The two-day event, headlined by performances from South African music artists DeeKoala, Youngsta CPT, DJ Ready D, Shylean Shelly, Surreal Sessions, DJ Loyd and Sir Vincent will take place from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. CAT on both days.
The event will also feature NBA2K gaming, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament and Jr. NBA clinics.
Fans will have an opportunity to purchase their favorite NBA team and player jerseys at the NBA popup store onsite, at the NBA Store V&A Waterfront and online at https://nbastore.africa.
The weekend’s highlight will be a celebrity basketball game between Team Kash CPT and Team Tembipowers on Sunday, 15 December. In addition, each day will tip off with a Jr. NBA clinic for 50 boys and girls from the local basketball community.
