South African rapper JustCallMeTeezy has officially released his highly anticipated debut EP, Prolly In Da Hood, under Sadboys Entertainment. Hailing from Zeerust in the Northwest, Teezy delivers a project that blends street narratives, personal reflection, and sharp lyricism, all wrapped in polished production.

The EP, released in May 2025, marks Teezy’s return to the music scene following a brief hiatus. Known for his breakout single Best Friend (produced by Onyxx and featuring Don OG), Teezy has built a reputation for fusing hip-hop grit with emotional range. Prolly In Da Hood explores themes of ambition, survival, and identity, with production that moves between mellow trap and soulful R&B elements. His most streamed single “Big Man Talk” ft Tshego Santana currently has over 10,000 streams, showing a positive response from the masses. The music video for the hit track debuted on the 1st of August 2025 and is available on YouTube for streaming. “This project is about where I’m from, where I’m headed, and everything in between,” says Teezy. “I wanted it to sound like the streets but also showcase the build-up of my growth.”

A graduate in Studio Work and Sound Engineering from South-West Media College, Teezy brings both lyrical depth and technical polish to his sound. The EP features guest appearances from rising collaborators and has been well-received in his live sets and freestyle appearances on Faga Motswako.

Prolly In Da Hood is available now on all major streaming platforms.
