Childish Gambino Officially Drops ‘Atavista,’ the Finished Version of ‘3.15.20’

Atavista, the finished version of Childish Gambino‘s 3.15.20, is officially available on streaming.

Clocking in at 50 minutes, the 11-track album hears the new and improved mixes of his 2020 record. Atavista features guest appearances from Ariana Grande on “Time,” 21 Savage, Ink and Kadhja Bonet on “Psilocybae (Millennial Love),” Summer Walker on “Sweet Thang” and Young Nudy on “Little Foot Big Foot.” While the updated record is missing his popular single “Feels Like Summer,” it does include the new intro cut “Atavista” and the fan favorite “Human Sacrifice.” The improvements are an answered prayer to Gambino fans, whose main quip with 3.15.20 was its arrival as a seemingly unfinished record. More than anything, the new mixes truly highlight the musical prowess of both the artist and the original album, and could possibly change the minds of those who had less-than-pleasant things to say about 3.15.20.

In addition to releasing the album, Glover confirmed that the next Childish Gambino album — which he previously stated would be his last — is set to release some time this summer. Additional details were not revealed.

Stream Childish Gambino’s Atavista on Spotify and Apple Music, and watch the visual for “Little Foot Big Foot” above.
