Update: Kevin Durant’s playoff run was short-lived this season, falling to a sweep from Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round, though his newly-unveiled Nike KD 17 continues to see action thanks to Chet Holmgren. While it hasn’t been officially announced by the Swoosh still, we have our first batch of official visuals of the new sneaker. Revealed in its “Penny” colorway, the white, black and blue rendition of the shoe is set to release on May 24 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $150 USD.

Original Story: Nike and Kevin Durant are gearing up for another release for his latest signature shoe. The KD 17 has surfaced in a “Penny” colorway, giving the basketball shoe the classic white, black-game royal color scheme.

The shoe is constructed in a mostly white mesh upper base while the royal blue and black hits the shoe in the wavy vertical lines that are inspired by the Air Max Plus’ veins. The shoe’s midsole features the CushIon material that takes its shape from the modern Air Talaria running shoe, giving it more functionality and style. The “KD” branding is seen on the tongue and forefoot while it sits atop a Zoom cushioning and TPU shank for stability.

Look out for the Nike KD 17 “Penny” slated to release on May 24 this year at select retailers and online at Nike for $150 USD.
