Travis Scott and Live Nation Have Settled All But One of Astroworld’s Wrongful Death Suits

Nearly all of the wrongful death lawsuits filed against Travis Scott and Live Nation have been settled, almost three years after a crowd surge at 2021’s Astroworld killed 10 festival goers.

An attorney representing Live Nation said that nine of the ten lawsuits have been settled, including a suit filed by the family of late 23-year-old Madison Dubiski set to go to trial this week, according to the Associated Press.

During a court hearing on Wednesday, attorney Neal Manne said that only one wrongful death lawsuit remained, per AP. The terms of the settlements are confidential and lawyers for both sides are unable to comment due to the court’s gag order.

The sole suit still pending was filed by the family of 9-year-old Ezra Blount, who was the youngest person killed during the November 5 event. The Blount family’s attorney said that they plan to take the case to court.

State District Judge Kristen Hawkins said that Blount’s case would go to court before any of the pending injury cases, according to AP.
