Tennis season is fast approaching, with brands beginning to bash out on-court collections destined for victory. From Wimbledon to US Opens, international pros are preparing for their next win, seeing Gucci enlist Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner for its latest campaign.
As the highest-ranked Italian player in history, Jannik Sinner has become synonymous with rule-breaking fashion ideals. The athlete made noise at Wimbledon last year, hitting the court wearing a non-white accessory for the first time ever. His monogrammed Gucci duffle bag sparked a tennis rebellion, reigniting his standout style in Gucci’s 1980s-inspired “Is a Feeling” campaign.
Photographer Riccardo Raspa follows the red-haired athlete during training sessions and captures him in action at international tennis tournaments. Sinner’s custom duffle bag returns, hanging on his shoulder with red and green linear straps contrasted by his pristine white outfit on grass, clay, and rubber courts.
